The Wiretap splits your portabledevice's mic and headphone signals, while maintaining the dual functionality inone socket.  One of the sockets is an audio-in and audio-out.  The other is strictly audio out. It is designed to work with mics/headsets that are designed to work with phones. It works with iPhones, iPods, iPads, Android handsets, Tablets,Laptops - anything with a combo mic/headphone jack.
